Okay, this is just getting ridiculous. It has been well over a month since my last post, promising peace.
My days just keep getting away from me as I laze around in domestic bliss.
Right after I post this I am going to try and get my act together and write something about peace.
But first… Eva!
Today we went for a walk to the library because some books that I had put on hold were in. While we were there we were picking up some other items, Eva said to me, “Mommy, I have to tell you a swee-kwet (secret).” I knew what was coming. She walked over to me and whispered in my ear, “I love you.” I started doing this with her a while ago, only I would say “Can I tell you a whisper?” since my love isn’t a secret, and it melts my heart every time she now says it back to me (or Peter…).
Lately, it is hockey central around here and every time I hear the name Nikolai Habiboulan or however you spell it, I just have to laugh because it is such a sweet last name. Tonight while we Peter was making supper I asked Eva, “Eva, can you say Habiboulan?” To which she mumbled quietly, “I..no..say… Happy Birthday.”
I suspect I will laugh even more now when I hear his name.
