Outside my window… sunshine! But it is still pretty cold today.
I am thinking… about the Muller family. We heard on Friday that Dean Muller was traveling in a car with his three kids and they were hit by a train. Dean was killed and two of the kids have non-threatening injuries but the youngest is in a coma and potentially brain dead. Everyone has been praying hard and the last update I heard was that Maison responded to touch yesterday. It is hard to stop thinking about.
I am thankful for… my family. Events such as the above really put life into perspective. Too often I take my loved ones’ presence for granted. Too often I am not “in the moment”. I don’t want to waste my life and the time that I have with my family.
From the kitchen… clean! No class at church this morning so I cleaned my house during that time instead. Much nicer to come home to!
I am creating… another list of all the things I would like to sew very soon. It has been a while since I’ve sewn anything and last night I came across a new-to-me craft blog that inspired me! Soon…
I am going… to finish Chapter 5 of One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp today.
I am hoping… to go to the AHEA Conference this April. Though I am not homeschooling this year, Sally Clarkson (author of the Ministry of Motherhood and the Mission of Motherhood) will be speaking and I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about her.
I am hearing… one of Ezra’s noisy musical toys in my head. Other than that, it is quiet right now. Eva is looking through a book and Ezra is quietly eating some apples.
Around the house… all is quiet. Peter and Ezra are napping and Eva and I are downstairs watching a movie.
One of my favorite things… when Eva tells me she thinks I’m the best mommy in the whole world, and gives me a hug and a kiss like she did last night and again today.
A few plans for the rest of the week:
– hopefully Moms & Tots on Wednesday… our cars are being a bit funky, so hopefully they are fixed by then
– maybe a trip to Market Mall tomorrow
