Christmas Eve

All of Thursday was spent running errands, doing laundry, and cleaning the house in preparation for the trip to Regina. I didn’t have too many things on my to-do list but they all took me way longer to do than expected, so I was still up til midnight packing and getting last minute things ready. I even packed a hospital bag, just in case we have the baby on this trip (which I really don’t think we will, but you never know!).

Our kids really are such good travellers. The trip was about 7.5 hours and we only stopped once in Medicine Hat, 3 hours into the trip. TMI, but even my bladder managed to hold on that long which is pretty amazing considering how pregnant I am. Eva and Ezra had fun together in the back of the van. I wish you could post video right from iPhone to web. I’d post a video from the trip of Eva making Ezra laugh so hard. Maybe that will come later.

Eva took some photos on the trip too, those last 4 are from her.

We arrived at Grandma and Grandpa Roberts’ just in time for supper. Peter predicted we would pull into the drive-way at 5:45 and we did, to the exact minute. He’s amazing.

Keri-Lyn, Alvaro, Malena and Joylyn arrived from Winnipeg between 10 and 10:30 and now all who will be here for Christmas are here and we are ready to party. Except that Eva woke us up at 4:30 AB time and I couldn’t get back to sleep and then Ezra woke up around 5:00 AB time and then I really couldn’t go back to sleep. The great thing is, when I do start to feel sleepy is that there are many people around to take care of the kids so I can get some rest.

Looking forward to waffles for breakfast this morning, and lots of fun and laughter and tasty food over the next few days. We even get to spend Christmas afternoon and supper with my mom and Randy who will be joining us tomorrow!

Merry Christmas Eve, hope you are able to be with the ones you love :)
